Privacy Policy

Keepsy ("Keepsy", "we", "us", or "our"), operated by Lisnara Studio, is an app that lets you save short-form videos (such as Instagram Reels, TikToks, and YouTube Shorts) from public sources and automatically organizes them into a searchable personal library. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

The short version. We collect the links you choose to save, the information we derive from those videos (like a transcript or the name of a dish or place), and your account email. We use trusted third-party services to transcribe and understand videos. We send analytics services only anonymous counts and identifiers — never the content of your videos. You can delete any save, your chat history, or your entire account at any time.

1. Information we collect

Account information

Your email address and basic profile (e.g. name) when you sign in, via your chosen sign-in provider (such as Google).
A unique account identifier we generate for you.
Subscription and entitlement status (e.g. free or Pro), and counts of saves and AI questions used.

Content you choose to save

When you save a video, we process the public link you provide and store information derived from it, which may include:

The source URL and basic metadata (platform, author handle, caption, thumbnail).
A text transcript of the audio and any text recognized on-screen.
Structured details we extract (for example: a recipe's ingredients, a restaurant's name and city, a film's title), a short summary, tags, and a numerical "embedding" used to power search.
Your own additions — notes, edits, collections, and lists you create.

We do not host or rebroadcast the original videos; Keepsy stores the information about a video so you can find it again, and links back to the original.

Usage and device data

Anonymous analytics events (e.g. "a save started", "a search ran") expressed as identifiers, enumerations, and counts only.
Crash and diagnostic reports to help us fix bugs.
If you enable notifications, a push token so we can tell you when a save is ready.

2. How we use your information

To process the videos you save and build your searchable, organized library.
To provide search, smart collections, and the optional "ask your reels" chat feature.
To operate accounts, enforce save/AI limits, and manage subscriptions and rewarded ads.
To send you notifications you've opted into, and to diagnose and fix problems.
To prevent abuse and keep the service secure.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. How your saved videos are processed

To turn a video into something searchable, Keepsy uses a pipeline that may send the video's audio or text to trusted processors for transcription and understanding. Specifically:

Resolving the video — we fetch the publicly available media from the link you provide.
Speech-to-text — the audio may be transcribed by a third-party or self-hosted speech service.
Understanding — the transcript and on-screen text may be sent to a large language model to extract structured details and a summary, and to generate search embeddings.

These processors receive the content needed to perform their task and are not permitted to use it to build their own products beyond providing the service to us. See the list below.

4. Third-party services (sub-processors)

We rely on the following categories of service providers. The specific vendors may change as we improve the product; this list is kept current here.

5. Our shared processing cache

Because many people save the same public video, Keepsy keeps a cache of the information derived from public content (such as a transcript or extracted details), keyed to that video. If another user later saves the same public video, we can reuse this derived information instead of reprocessing it. This cache holds information derived from public videos — it does not contain your personal notes, your identity, or which videos you saved.

6. Analytics and crash reporting

We use Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to understand how the app is used and to fix crashes. By design, these services receive only identifiers, enumerations, counts, and status — for example a content-type label or an error code. They never receive your video transcripts, captions, saved links, notes, or other content.

7. Advertising and subscriptions

Keepsy is free to use with limits. You can optionally subscribe (managed via RevenueCat through your app store) or watch a rewarded ad (via Google AdMob) to earn extra saves. Ads are provided by Google AdMob and are subject to Google's advertising policies. We do not show interstitial or personalized-profile advertising as part of the core experience at launch.

8. On-device processing

On capable devices, some processing (such as transcription) may run locally on your device to reduce data sent off-device. Where on-device processing is available and used, less of your content leaves your phone.

9. Data retention and deletion

Delete a single save — removes that item and its derived data from your library.
Delete your chat history — removes your "ask your reels" conversations.
Delete your account — removes your profile, your library, and your personal data from our systems. (Information in the shared derived-from-public-content cache, which does not identify you, may be retained.)

Temporary working files (such as downloaded audio) are deleted shortly after processing. To request deletion or ask a question about your data, contact us at the address below.

10. Data security

We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level security so that you can only access your own data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

11. Children's privacy

Keepsy is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

12. Where your data is processed

Keepsy and its service providers may process and store your information in countries other than your own. Where we transfer data internationally, we take steps to ensure it remains protected consistent with this policy.

13. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise many of these directly in the app, or by contacting us. Governing law: [insert governing law / jurisdiction before launch].

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice.
